Standard Impact Resistant Lamina
Base Reinforcement Layer for Durex EIF Systems
Description

Durex® Standard Impact Lamina is comprised of a layer of Standard Mesh(4.3 oz) as reinforcement for a layer of polymer-modified and polymer-based cementitious base coats and used as the minimum or base grade reinforcing mesh layer in all Durex® EIFS Systems (except mechanically fastened EIFS systems) and Durex® Stucco Lite System.

Advantages
  • Capable of withstanding 1 - 3 N.m/cm2 impact forces without breakage of the reinforcement layer
    • Forces equivalent to small stones (<1" dia.) @30kph or:
    • Small hail (2 - 5 mm dia.)
  • Fiberglass mesh of tested quality, capable of withstanding high tension without stretching
  • Glass fibers with negligible sensitivity to temperature changes within the wall
  • Proper fiberglass anti-alkaline dressing to avoid quick aging of the wall reinforcement due to the corrosion action of alkalis present in coating mortar
  • Provides dimensional stability and enhances performance

Uses
  • Standard Reinforcement Mesh for the base coat layer in all chemically adhered Durex® EIFS Systems
