Durex® Trim Cast is a two-component polymer-based cementitious base coat formulated to create a surface that replicates fine-cut stone. It consists of a polymer modifier, Durex® Flex Bond TopCoat, which has a substantially higher polymer content, mixed with the dry component, Durex® Trim Cast. This advanced formulation enhances strength and durability, making it highly resistant to the elements without requiring additional protective coatings. Trim Cast uses a fine blend of natural aggregates to achieve a stone-like finish that can be troweled to a fine smooth surface.
Durex® Trim Cast has been formulated to provide a highly flexible cementitious coating which is very crackresistant. It can be bent over a 6.4 mm (1/4”) mandrel without cracking. Durex® Trim Cast provides thefollowing features:
- Superior adhesion to various inorganic substrates
- Combines cement strength with high polymer flexibility
- Designed for long-term durability without additional protective coatings
- Fine natural aggregate blend for a realistic stone finish
- Can be troweled to a fine smooth surface
- Excellent job site quality control
Durex® Trim Cast is available for direct-applied wall casting or for use in molding extrusion processes. It is ideal for applications requiring a fine-cut stone appearance with enhanced durability in exterior environments.
